“This FREE Saturation Plugin Sounds Shockingly Good”
What it does
DSaturator adds warmth, edge, and character — not a single fixed drive. Pick a shaper, push the harmonics, oversample for cleaner folds, and blend back to taste.
Saturation types
Tanh, Atan, Cubic soft clipper, triangle & sine wavefolding, and BLAMP anti-aliased folding
Oversampling
2×–16× oversampling for cleaner high-gain and folded tones
Dry / wet
Blend processed harmonics with the dry signal
Output level
Scale the output to sit in your mix
Bypass
A/B the effect instantly without losing settings
Real-time DSP
Parameter smoothing and low-latency processing for tracking and mixing
Controls
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| TYPE | Choose the saturation / waveshaping algorithm |
| DRIVE / AMOUNT | How hard the signal hits the saturator |
| OVERSAMPLING | 2×–16× — higher = cleaner folds, more CPU |
| MIX | Dry / wet blend |
| OUTPUT | Overall output level |
| BYPASS | Bypass the effect |
Tips
- ▸Start with a soft clipper (Tanh / Atan) at moderate drive, then raise Mix to taste.
- ▸Use wavefolding sparingly on melodic sources — small amounts add harmonic edge.
- ▸Bump oversampling when you hear aliasing on bright or high-gain settings.
- ▸Match Output so bypassed and engaged levels feel similar in the mix.
System requirements
